Superior Home Improvement LLC in Ralston, NE is a locally and family-owned business founded by David Benson in 2004. We specialize in kitchen remodels, bathrooms and basement finishing. We have trusted partnerships with professionals in design, drafting, engineering, electrical, plumbing, flooring, tile work, HVAC, and a variety of other trade specialties in residential construction.

SUPERIOR IS DAVE BENSON
As President, David enjoys being personally involved with many of his projects. David grew up on a family dairy farm and learned the value of hard work at an early age. The work ethic he developed on the farm helped him earn a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After working in retail management, human resources, and marketing for several years, David realized he enjoyed working with his hands. He found a mentor to teach him the remodeling business, and worked his way into the business full-time in 2005. David participates in continuing education through his membership in the Pro Remodeling Omaha.
If David has spare time, he might indulge in a local baseball game with Susan and their two girls, ages 20 and 23. He enjoys going back to his roots by helping his dad and brother when it’s harvest time at their farm. In the fall, you can be sure that he is watching his Alma mater, the Huskers, on the football field.
MEET THE TEAM
AARON
Aaron has been with the company for over 12 years and is the driving force for all activities with the company, managing staff, projects and subcontractors. He tries his hardest to keep Dave from showing up at job sites and making his mess. Married to Jessica for 20+ years with two boys (Bryce, 18 & Brayden, 17) and a girl (Baylee, 7….yes it was planned 🙂 He spends a lot of time watching sports, playing golf and going to dance recitals.
MATT
Matt has been with Superior Home Improvement for over 6 years now. He is currently in a Project Manager position. He specializes in the detailed aspects of the project such as doors, trim and specialty items. When not at work, he enjoys hanging out with his new baby and watching football.
Kate
Kate joined Superior Home Improvement in 2026 as an Office Manager. Her role will help ensure projects move smoothly, from the initial estimate through job implementation. Outside of work, she enjoys drawing, swimming, and spending quality time playing with her two-year-old daughter.
JAKE
Jake has been with Superior Home Improvement for over 4 years now and currently in a Project Supervisory position. You will see more of him at the start of the project from the demo to the framing. He is a recent father and soon to be having a 2nd addition to the family. He enjoys coaching Papillion youth baseball and hunting with friends/family.
Jamie
Jamie has worked with her dad painting for 19 years and has been with Superior Home improvement for just over 1 year. She has 3 boys (23, 19, and 6), 2 step sons (18 and 19) and a beautiful granddaughter with one more grandbaby on the way! In her free time, Jamie enjoys going to hockey and baseball games, as well as watching football. She also enjoys going fishing and camping with her fiance.
RYAN
Ryan has been around Superior Home Improvement for over 15 years in a subcontractor role and now as an employee of SHI for over 4 years now. He primarily works with drywall hanging and finishing of the projects, but fills in where needed. He is currently married with 1 son and enjoys the finer sides of life.
Connor
Connor has worked with Superior Home improvement since October of 2024. He enjoys martial arts, disc golf, and other outdoor activities.
ARLENE
Arlene and her husband moved to Omaha from Norfolk about eight years ago to follow the kids and grandkids. They haven’t regretted a minute of it. Arlene also took up watercolor painting at the same time and is very talented at her retirement hobby. She has been the part-time bookkeeper for Superior Home Improvement for 3 years, and has enjoyed the opportunity to get out of the house and interact with some great people.
